The Aquakid Learn to Swim programme has been established in line with the British Amateur Swimming Association National Plan for Teaching (NPTS), and in conjunction with the Long Term Athlete Development Programme (LTAD).
By the end of Aquakids, swimmers will be competent in all 4 strokes, jumps, dives (including racing starts), turns, finishes, personal survival and complete orientation of poolside and pool discipline.
Our aim is to create a learning environment that is fulfilling and rewarding at the same time.
While using the NPTS, the abilities we deal with at the LEARN stages are as follows, JellyFish (Beginner), Goldfish (Improver) and Dolphins (Advanced). These levels will work widthways and lengthways in the pool in all depths and are structurally designed to enhance learning with the LTAD.
Those who have aspirations to becoming competitive swimmers will have the opportunity to do so under the guidance of experienced coaches.
